1. Who is responsible
ChartTwo LLC, operated by Maddox Grayson, Florida, United States (“we”, “us”), provides Maddox Plugins, maddoxplugins.com and Maddox Plugins Central (“Central”). We are responsible for the personal information we use to provide these Services.
Questions and privacy requests: maddoxgraysonmusic@gmail.com. Our Terms of Service explain the software licence and subscriptions. Acknowledging this notice is not consent to optional marketing or unrelated uses of your information.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information from the sign-in or payment provider you choose, and technical information generated when you use the Services:
- Account information
- Account identifier, name, email address and sign-in/session information. Apple or Google may provide authorised profile information, including a profile image or Apple private relay email. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
- Billing and access records
- Plan, customer and subscription identifiers, invoice/payment status and dates, purchases, licence entitlements, trials and related support records. Stripe processes payment details. Our website and Central do not receive your full card number or card security code.
- Computer and activation information
- A stable device identifier linked to your account, computer name, operating platform, Central version, registered-device status, plugin activation requests and relevant activity dates. This supports licensing and trial limits. An account-linked device identifier is personal information, even when it does not contain your name.
- Technical and security information
- IP address, browser or app information, request times, requested resources and operational or security logs processed by us and our service providers.
- Support and acknowledgements
- Messages and attachments you choose to send and, where an acceptance flow is used, the policy versions acknowledged, account identifier, time and source of that acknowledgement.
Our plugins process audio locally. Licensing and activation do not upload your audio or DAW projects. If you choose to attach a project or recording to a support request, we receive what you send for that request.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and sign-in, process orders, manage subscriptions, authorise software, enforce reasonable computer and trial limits, deliver downloads and updates, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain service reliability, respond to requests and keep records required for legal, accounting or dispute purposes.
Providing the account, payment and device information needed for a requested feature is necessary to use that feature. For example, without licence checks we cannot enable a new licensed plugin instance. Contact support if an access decision appears incorrect.
Where a lawful basis is required, account, billing and licensing processing supports the contract you request; security, fraud prevention and service reliability support our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights; required transaction records support legal obligations. We rely on consent where the law requires it for an optional use, and you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
We do not sell the personal information covered by this notice or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use advertising or audience-tracking tools in the website or Central. Necessary sign-in, payment and hosting services still process technical information.
4. Cookies and information on your device
The website uses browser storage to complete sign-in and maintain your signed-in session. Central keeps necessary sign-in credentials, preferences, licence information, installed-plugin records and cached downloads or artwork on your Mac. Saved Central sign-in credentials are protected using macOS-backed encryption where available.
Signing out clears the relevant saved sign-in session, but does not erase every installation record or cache. Closing a browser tab normally ends its tab-based session; browser restoration can affect this. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your cloud account or cancel a subscription.
Apple, Google and Stripe may use cookies or similar technology on their sign-in pages or payment components for authentication, security and payment processing. Their privacy notices explain those practices. We do not use browser “Do Not Track” signals to change essential processing. Because we do not sell information or use cross-context advertising, there is no such activity to opt out of through a Global Privacy Control signal.
6. International processing
We operate from the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate; those countries may have different privacy laws.
Our account and hosting providers’ data-processing terms include contractual transfer safeguards where applicable, including European Commission standard contractual clauses and relevant UK safeguards. Their terms describe the covered transfers and processing. Where the law requires a safeguard for other transfers, that requirement also applies; acceptance of our Terms is not blanket consent to transfer your information. Contact maddoxgraysonmusic@gmail.com for information about safeguards relevant to your data or how to obtain a copy.
7. How long information is kept
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. The period depends on the type of record, whether your account or licence remains active, the need to provide support or prevent misuse, applicable legal/accounting requirements and any genuine dispute or security investigation.
Account and licensing records support your access; billing records support payments, accounting and disputes; limited device or trial records can be needed to enforce eligibility; support and technical records support resolution and security. Once information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal requirements. Copies in backups may remain until the applicable backup cycle ends and are subject to the same protections.
Account deletion, subscription cancellation and removal of local data are different actions. Contact us for account deletion and use the billing portal to cancel renewal. We can help you address both together; we do not represent signing out as cancellation or deletion.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can sign out, manage registered computers through Central and manage billing through the subscription portal. To request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your personal information, write to maddoxgraysonmusic@gmail.com from the email linked to your account where possible. We may reasonably verify ownership before acting, without asking for unnecessary information.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, withdrawal of consent, an appeal of a denied request, and a complaint to a privacy regulator. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the relevant reason and any appeal process required by law. Exercising a privacy right will not result in unlawful discrimination.
Where applicable, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us to exercise that right or withdraw consent to an optional use. Restrictions or deletion of information necessary for an account may prevent the associated service from working; lawful retention exceptions may apply.
For EEA or UK privacy matters, you may contact your local supervisory authority, including the UK Information Commissioner where relevant. Nothing here limits mandatory privacy rights. Do not send passwords, full card details or unnecessary identity documents with a request.
9. Younger users
The Services are not directed to children under 13. Account holders must be adults. Musicians aged 13–17 may use the Services only through a parent or legal guardian’s account and supervision, where permitted by law. The adult should use their own account and billing details and review what the supervised user sends to support.
If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information contrary to this policy, contact maddoxgraysonmusic@gmail.com. We will take appropriate steps to investigate and delete information where required. We do not require a child’s exact birth date or unnecessary identity documents to make a privacy inquiry.
10. Protecting information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including access restrictions and protections for account credentials. No service can promise absolute security. Protect your sign-in provider account and computer, and tell support about suspected misuse.
11. Changes and contact
This notice shows its last-updated date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law, and we will obtain separate consent before a new use where consent is required. Acknowledging an updated notice does not itself authorise unrelated marketing.
